Physician Bio:

Dr. Flood brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and dedication to SouthEast Eye Specialists. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, and received her Doctor of Optometry degree from Indiana University School of Optometry in Bloomington, Indiana. Her passion for eye care led her to complete a rigorous residency in Ocular Disease at the Cincinnati Eye Institute, affiliated with The Ohio State University College of Optometry. This advanced training has equipped her with the skills to manage a wide range of complex ocular conditions, including glaucoma, retina disorders, neuro-ophthalmology, and refractive surgery.

Dr. Flood is a member of the American Academy of Optometry and the American Board of Optometry. She is licensed as a Therapeutic Optometrist in both Tennessee and Ohio. Dr. Flood has also contributed to advancing eye care through her research presentations and case reports, which have been featured at prominent conferences including the Heart of America Eye Care Congress and the American Academy of Optometry.

In addition to her clinical expertise, Dr. Flood is deeply committed to community service. She has participated in international medical mission trips and volunteered with Special Olympics Indiana and Student Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity. Her leadership and contributions to the field have earned her several prestigious awards, including the James L. Short, O.D. & Patricia L. Short Award, as well as membership in the Gold Key Honors Society.
