SEES Group is pleased to announce the addition of Pedro Monsalve, MD, a board-certified ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained retina specialist, to its team. Dr. Monsalve will provide medical and surgical retina care at the SouthEast Eye Specialists clinic locations in Chattanooga and Cleveland, Tennessee.
Dr. Monsalve completed his ophthalmology residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit and his surgical retina fellowship at the University of Minnesota. His clinical expertise includes the treatment of diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal detachments, and macular holes. He is highly skilled in the latest surgical techniques and therapies for patients with complex retinal conditions.
Before his residency, Dr. Monsalve conducted research in electrophysiology and ocular pathology at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. Dr. Monsalve is also fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
Outside of the office, Dr. Monsalve enjoys travel, fitness, and exploring the beauty of the Southwest.
